How do I play archives without downloading them?
Apple
1. Install Mega or GoogleDrive.
2. Go to the HBNI archive and press any archive you want to listen to.
3. You will be redirected to the Mega or
GoogleDrive app.
4. Play the broadcast directly without downloading it.
Android

or GoogleDrive.
Use the HBNI archive to select the broadcast.
Windows (Computer)
Click any archive on the HBNI archive. It will redirect you to
mega.nz or GoogleDrive.
Where are the archives stored?
2022-07-12 to 2023-07-21
Archives were stored on mega.nz. Access them
here.
2023-07-21 to 2023-07-29
Archives were stored on GoogleDrive. Access them
here.
2023-07-29 to today
Archives are stored on our servers in Pineland Colony. The data is stored on Postgres database. Data for each broadcast can be found here.
Why are you using both Mega and GoogleDrive?
Mega was quicker to start with but ran out of storage, leading to a switch to GoogleDrive, which HBNI supported.
Why not migrate the entire database over to GoogleDrive?
Mega does not provide an easy way to migrate data. Inconsistent file data and changing upload methods make
it impractical without risking data loss.
Why stop using GoogleDrive?
Google doesn't allow permanent access tokens, requiring weekly manual token refreshes, which isn't practical.
I want to remove a broadcast on the archive.
Email exact details to jared@pinelandfarms.ca.
I don't want any of my broadcasts on the archive and never be recorded.
Email jared@pinelandfarms.ca. The
HBNI recorder
can exempt specific hosts from being recorded. Use the same host name each time.
Why is the broadcast not finished or missing?
Internet connection issues during recording can lead to incomplete uploads.
How long does it take to upload archives?
Archives are usually uploaded within 5 minutes, depending on broadcast length. Manual uploads may take longer if there are issues.
How do I make a private broadcast?
Go to the broadcasting page and check mark the private checkbox. Private broadcasts are not listed on the listeners page or archived but can be shared by the host and saved to your device after ending.
